“The Treasure of Francisco Vasquez de Coronado” or ‘Alpine’s Frozen Assets’ was just the best play ever. Based on local folklore and history, it is the first play where the cast members wrote and directed everything themselves. While video recording the performance it was all I could do to control my laughter and camera symultaniously. Paul will create his usual professional DVD version that the people involved will cherish forever. If you would like to order a copy his prices are very reasonable and go towards making his green fee’s.

Lyden Drudge Party 2009!
Larry & Marcia, Paul & Mary Ei, and Steve joined Paula and Mo at Paula's Chicken Ranch in Lyden, NM, May 1st through May 8th, 2009. The purpose of the visit was two fold: help with some major chores, and have some fun. Both goals were accomplished.
The major project was installing three raised beds in the garden for growing veggies. Mo had the frame components ready to go, and the guys helped dig out under the beds, install chicken wire to prevent gopher access to the roots, and fill back in.

Another project was replacing the belt on the riding mower, and giving it a tune-up:
Fun times included a visit to Georgia O'Keefe's home in Abique, about 18 miles from the Chicken Ranch (no photos allowed), and Ghost Ranch, where Georgia spent about half of each year she was in New Mexico.

WEFAG Field Trip to Bullhead City
Wednesday, February 4, 2009

We have been derelict for some time in posting to this Blog! So as not to have people wait until next January to see this masterpiece, taken at the Super Bowl XLIII Party at Kreitz's house, in the 2010 WEFAG Calendar, I thought that I would post it here. For those who were not there, the 3D glasses were to permit seeing the "SoBe Lifewater" commercial at the end of the 2nd quarter, in living 3D.

Stargazer

In Fall of 2004, we waited anxiously each day at Payton's bedside, praying for her survival and recovery. In the middle of all that fear and anxiety, Payton received an early Christmas present from my friend Dottie Rountree: a star in the galaxy for her very own. On April 12, we journeyed to Yorba Linda, where Paul Galileo focused the eye of his telescope on Payton's star. Dottie died last year, and I sent this image to her husband as a reminder of the loving generosity of that wonderful woman.
