THE THIRD ANNUAL ALPINE MELODRAMA

We were a contingent of only eight WEFAG’s for this year’s melodrama and drudge party at the MacGregor’s and we missed our members who were unable to attend.

“The Treasure of Francisco Vasquez de Coronado” or ‘Alpine’s Frozen Assets’ was just the best play ever. Based on local folklore and history, it is the first play where the cast members wrote and directed everything themselves. While video recording the performance it was all I could do to control my laughter and camera symultaniously. Paul will create his usual professional DVD version that the people involved will cherish forever. If you would like to order a copy his prices are very reasonable and go towards making his green fee’s.

The traditional ‘drudge party’ aspect of our visit consisted of fence mending and gate building by the Scottish method, which is using the most minimal amount of cement possible.
